Therapy Doesn’t Have to be Intimidating: Finding your way back to yourself

When people think of therapy, they often imagine a leather couch, a buttoned-up therapist with a clipboard, and awkward silence.

Yeah… that’s not what we’re doing here.

Hi, I’m Amber (she/her), a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who believes that therapy should feel like a real, human connection—not a performance or a test. My style is casual, affirming, and rooted in mutual respect and curiosity. You can bring your whole self into the room—no masks required (unless we’re talking cosplay, in which case, go off).

Who I Work With

I specialize in working with:

• Queer and questioning folks navigating identity, relationships, and community

• Gamers and neurodivergent clients who want therapy that understands their worlds

• Anyone managing anxiety, trauma, or burnout, especially those who’ve been told they’re “too sensitive” or “too much”

If you’ve ever felt like traditional therapy spaces weren’t built with you in mind—you’re not alone. And you’re not wrong.

My Approach

I pull from trauma-informed models like TRM (Trauma Resiliency Model) and CRM (Community Resiliency Model) to help clients feel grounded and safe in their bodies again. These are somatic approaches, which means we don’t just talk about what’s going on—we also tune into how it’s living in your body.

And for folks who want to explore healing through immersive experiences, I offer VR therapy—a cutting-edge tool that helps build resilience, regulate the nervous system, and even explore mindfulness in ways that feel accessible and engaging.

No pressure, no judgment, and no “fixing”—just co-creating a space where you can feel seen, supported, and maybe even laugh a little along the way.

Real Talk: Therapy Is Weird Sometimes

And that’s okay. We’ll name the awkwardness, honor your boundaries, and move at your pace. Whether we’re exploring deep trauma or figuring out how to set better boundaries in your D&D group, it all matters. Therapy can hold all of that.

You Belong Here

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to try therapy—or to try it again—this might be it. You deserve support that gets you, that sees your complexity, and that doesn’t try to stuff you into a mold.
